Prototype Building: Version 1

Wow - time flies. Stamp has made excellent progress in the last few months and we thought it was time to share what we've been up to. The long and short - we are done with our version 1 prototypes and have been putting them through the ringer with both bench and field testing. Here are some highlights:

Pre-Build Testing

Before building, we did months of work bench testing different prototype configurations. This allowed us to work through our testing matrix and find out what worked best. Dozens of tests and hours of data processing later, we were ready to incorporate our best results into a fully integrated prototype.

The Build
Adam and I each designed and built a prototype based on our bench top testing results. In this way were able to incorporate the ideas we each felt would work best and then validate them quickly. We built everything and had lots of fun doing it.

Milling the high temp body

After the build, we moved into bench and field testing. It was great to be able to hold something we had sketched, thought about, and prepped towards for so many months. Even more - they worked. Another small step forward, another discovery of how the device behaves, and a vision of what could develop. Now we're working on the next version - lighter, more efficient, and with all of the lessons learned so far.

Ben's final prototype. The thumbs-up shows scale of both size and awesomeness

Onward and Upward
We still have a long way to go. There is a chasm between building two of these - and two million. But we're looking forward to the challenge and the push. We think that this has potential.

Charge ahead.
