Electrical System Prototyping

The Stamp TEG electrical system is coming along really well. Over the last couple months, we've made great progress. All major components have been designed, prototyped, and successfully tested on our bench. We are now working on moving beyond these development prototypes and integrating the whole electrical system into the Stamp device itself.

With a table that cluttered, we must be good engineers
Our first quick test the night we finished the rough prototype, showing the TEG output being conditioned to 5V.

Prototype Building: Version 1

Wow - time flies. Stamp has made excellent progress in the last few months and we thought it was time to share what we've been up to. The long and short - we are done with our version 1 prototypes and have been putting them through the ringer with both bench and field testing. Here are some highlights:

Stamp in 2013

Alright, so we’re about two months into 2013. It’s way too late for a post about the new year, but we’ve been busy in the shop, so we hope you’ll forgive us!
Stamp has come a long way in the last year but we are even more excited about where we are heading this year. Adam and I are each building alpha dev units that we can test in the field. Since we both liked the other’s approach to the design, we are each building a unit, trading them with each other, and then testing them for a month. We are excited to discover how we interact with the device, how it fits into our lives, and how well it performs. There’s nothing like a real-world field test to shake things loose. We’ll of course be sharing progress on this blog with pictures, impressions, and other cool info.
So keep your eyes on our page for updates. And if you can’t sit at a computer hitting ‘refresh’ 24 hours a day, then feel free to follow our blog and follow us on Twitter: @StampTEG
